An Independent General Neurology Practice
Michael R. Sorrell, MD, FAAN, FACS is a board-certified neurologist and headache medicine specialist, practicing in Springfield, Massachusetts since 1976. He is a graduate of Hamilton College, the Albany Medical College and served his neurology residency at the Emory University School of Medicine. He provides consultations on patients over 18 years with complaints related to conditions of the nervous system and muscles, including, but not limited to Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, dementia and memory loss, stroke, dizziness, headache, and various pain conditions. He consults on patients over 13 years for headache.

Botulinum Toxin Injections
Used to treat headaches, movement disorders, & limb spasticity.
Mental Status Testing
Brief assessments for cognitive disabilities, depression, and anxiety by standardized tests when full Neuropsychological Batteries are not available or appropriate.
Nerve Blocks
Used for the treatment of headaches and other pain syndromes.
Independent Medical Examinations
In depth investigations requested by governmental, legal, or insurance entities.
Myofascial Pain Program
3 to 10 consecutive days of non-steroid trigger point injections paired with targeted Physical Therapy for head, neck, shoulder, and extremity pains not responding to medication, surgical, physical, or chiropractic therapies.
